The Lord’s Prayer: Matthew 6:9 -13 (NKJV)

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, gives a model prayer by which we  can and should pray:

9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
*

Verse 14 clearly says that, “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Forgive as you petition God, and He will also forgive you and make things happen to you.

Declarative/Affirmative Prayer based on the Lord’s Prayer

In the name of Jesus,
I declare that God is my Father, and He is holy and exalted above all. His name is praised in my life.
His kingdom has come and is coming, and His will is being done in my life, in my family, and in the earth as it is in heaven.

I receive daily provision from my Father — all my needs are met today.
I walk in forgiveness, because I am forgiven. I release everyone who has wronged me.
I have no part in bitterness or offense. I am free.

I declare that I am led by the Spirit of God and not into temptation. I am delivered from all evil, for the Lord is my protector and deliverer. God id delivering me from evil.

For the Kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to God – forever and ever.
Amen!
